The Kenya Scouts Association has intensified preparations for its historic Guinness World Records attempt for the Most People Planting Mangrove Trees Simultaneously, scheduled for 26 July 2026 at Jomvu Kuuza, Kwa Fara Village, Mombasa County.
The initiative is a bold demonstration of the commitment by Scouts to environmental conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable community action. Five thousand of Scouts, volunteers, partners, and community members are expected to participate in the landmark event, which seeks to leave a lasting environmental legacy while inspiring collective action against climate change.

Beyond the record itself, the initiative reinforces the Kenya Scouts Association’s long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship. By mobilizing young people and the youth to restore coastal mangrove ecosystems, the Association is contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and the creation of a greener future for generations to come.
