The Kenya Scouts Association (KSA) is preparing for a historic Guinness World Records attempt by organizing what is expected to be the largest simultaneous tree-planting event. The initiative is scheduled for 26 July 2026 in Jomvu Kuu, Kwa Fara Village, Mombasa County, where more than 5,000 Scouts are expected to participate in a coordinated effort to plant trees at the same time.
The world record attempt is part of KSA’s commitment to environmental conservation, climate action, and youth leadership. Working alongside the M-PESA Foundation and other partners including Kenya Forest Services, the initiative aims not only to make history but also to contribute to Kenya’s national tree-growing campaign and promote environmental stewardship among young people.
If successful, the event will place the Kenya Scouts Association among the organizations recognized by Guinness World Records while reinforcing the message that young people can play a leading role in combating climate change through practical conservation efforts.
